We know some Coordinators and tutors have already been given the go ahead to work from libraries - with social distancing and hand washing guides being adhered to. Please consider and discuss with your student to decide when you are both ready to meet together to work.
If you and your student have been on a break during this period, it is now time to plan for a return to tutoring.
Check out North Metropolitan TAFE libraries if the public libraries near you are still not ready to open.
We know public libraries have limited access at present, but all 6 campus Libraries are open. The hours have been reduced due to COVID-19 and to ensure safety, the number of PCs and workspaces halved to allow for social distancing, but NMTAFE libraries would definitely welcome RWN tutors and students into all the Libraries.
Workspaces will be walk-in access, no pre-booking required, but to borrow items, use PCs, photocopy, print or scan, either the student or tutor will need to be enrolled at NMT. However, workspaces are available and no time limit is set.
At Northbridge, Coordinators can book study rooms to do assessments with students (please phone other libraries to see what they can offer). Tutors can use the study rooms if not already occupied. It is a beautiful and spacious library so do check it out.
